At the 36HR Berryman Adventure Race this past weekend, Team SOAR Adventures took a respectable third in Solo and eigth in 2-Person Long. We really enjoyed this race and hope to make it a part of our 2006 season plans. A race report from one teams point of view is available.

Team SOAR Adventures participated in the Labor Day 24-Hour MTB race at Seven Oaks this weekend. The course utilized a great trail network approximately six miles in length, with plenty of grueling climbs, fast straightaways, and communal camping. Pictures are available in our Photo Gallery.

SOAR Adventures successfully hosted central-Iowa's first adventure race on July 16th. The 2005 SOAR 8-Hour Adventure Challenge consisted of 118 racers, over 20 volunteers, and a heat index temperature of 106 degrees...what a scorcher!

Team SOAR Adventures grabs a divisional first place at the 24HR RAID the Ridge adventure race this weekend (6/17-6/18). With the beautiful scenery of Loess Hills, it was a memorable race from start to finish for all teams who participated.

At the Omnitech LIFE Quest 12HR adventure race this weekend, Team SOAR Adventures was able to take both divisional fourth and fifth places. It was a great race centered in a very unique portion of NW Iowa.

Team SOAR Adventures took the weekend "off" to attend Possum Trot's orienteering events this weekend. Though they ran fast and strong to capture a first place at the 3-Hour Score-O event, the team incurred an injury during the 9-Hour nighttime event which forced them to turn around earlier than expected. However, it was a good primer for the 2005 racing season!

SOAR Adventures held a navigation training day at Banner Lakes at Summerset State Park on February 19th. More than a dozen turned out for the fair-weather event that had individuals following their maps through some steep hills and marshlands.
